Do you bake from scratch?

Yes! All of Rae’s Got Cakes recipes are made from scratch. No box cakes or canned frosting over here!

How long have you been baking?

Rae started her baking journey in 2011 and she's just getting started. Over a decade of experience in these jars!

Can I order a full size cake?

We do service the San Francisco Bay Area with full size custom cake orders. Unfortunately at this time we do not ship full size cakes. For local custom cake orders, please email support@raesgotcakes.com

How long will it be before I receive my order?

Our standard processing time is 5-7 business days.

High order volume can increase processing time to 15-20 business days

Extreme order volume will significantly increase processing time. We do our best to keep customers updated on when to expect their orders to ship. We are still a very small business and appreciate your patience.

What payment methods do you accept?

Payment types we accept are all major credit cards, ShopPay, ApplePay ,GooglePay, MetaPay, PayPal, and Klarna

Do you sell other desserts besides cakes?

At this time Rae’s Got Cakes is limited to selling custom cake, cupcakes, and cake jars. We plan to offer additional desserts in the future.

Are your jars glass or plastic?

We use 100% recyclable plastic jars here at Rae’s Got Cakes. The decision to go with plastic over glass was to cut down on shipping weight to be able to provide the most affordable options to our customers. If glass jars are required for your order, please leave this request in the special notes at checkout.

Is your packaging environmentally friendly?

We do our best to use primarily recyclable and/or biodegradable materials to pack and ship our orders. A few of our packing materials are single use.

Are orders packed with temperature in mind?

Orders are packed chilled with ice and temperature control materials to ensure keep during transit.

Do you ship to PO Boxes?

Due to the perishable nature of our products we strongly suggest having your packing sent to a resident or business.

Do you ship internationally?

Sorry! We do not ship internationally at this time.

Can you do a rush order?

If your order is needed by a specific date please contact us at support@raesgotcakes.com prior to placing your order.

Do you offer local delivery?

Local delivery is available within a 15 mile radius of Oakland CA. You will know if you are in the delivery zone if the option is available to you at checkout. The charge for delivery is $7. Delivery date and time is arranged via email.

Do you offer local pickup?

Local pickup is available in San Leandro/Oakland, CA at no additional charge. Pick time and location is arranged via email

Are cakes baked fresh?

All cakes are baked fresh to order!

Will my cakes be dry?

While you will not be consuming your cakes on the day they are baked, we ensure our recipes pack and hold moisture for a delicious cake experience at your doorstep. The jars help keep in freshness and moisture as well!

What is the shelf life of cake jars?

Upon receipt, cakes will keep in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. It is recommended that whatever you do not plan to eat immediately, you place in the freezer

Do the jars require refrigeration?

All jars should remain refrigerated before consumption. It is fine to bring them to room temperature for consumption if this is how you prefer to enjoy your cake. Personally, I prefer my cake at room temperature. Provides the bet texture in my opinion. 

Can I freeze my jars to keep them longer?

Absolutely! Cakes can last in the freezer for up to 4 months. Although we are sure you won’t be able to wait that long!

Are your cakes safe for people with food allergies?

Rae’s Got cakes does work with food and ingredients containing common food allergens including soy, milk, eggs,wheat, peanuts, and coconuts. Care is taken to avoid cross contamination in our kitchen. Full ingredients list can be found here.

Do you offer gluten free?

We do offer gluten- free options! They can be found and ordered here.

Do you offer nut free?

Most of our offerings are nut free and extreme care is taken to avoid any cross contamination with our few items that do contain nuts. 

Do you offer keto/sugar free?

Unfortunately we do not offer keto/sugar free options at this time.

Do you offer vegan?

Unfortunately we do not offer vegan options at this time. Please subscribe to our email list to know when vegan options become available.

Can I substitute different frostings or fillings in my order?

We do not currently offer substitutions on orders.

Can I customize cakes for an event/corporate order?

Absolutely! To start a custom order please contact support@raesgotcakes.com 

Can I customize my jar label?

For sure! Because we design and print our own labels in house, we are able to customize them to your event needs. To start you custom order please contact support@raesgotcakes.com 

Can I request glass jars?Glass jar orders can be accommodated if needed. Please contact support@raesgotcakes.com for custom ordering

What is your refund or replacement policy?

Due to the perishable nature of our products, Rae’s Got Cakes does not offer returns or refunds. If an issue with you order arises, please contact support@raesgotcakes.com and we will be happy to assist you!

Can I change my order after it's placed?

If changes to you order need to be made, please notify us at support@raesgotcakes.com ASAP and we will do our best to accommodate the request. Depending on the status of the order at the time of receiving the request, we may not be able to accommodate the requested change. Please keep this in mind and double check your cart before checking out!.

Can I cancel my order?

Rae’s Got Cakes accepts cancellation requests for full refunds up to 24 hours after ordering. After this 24 hour period, orders are subjected to our no refund policy.

Do you have a physical bakery?

At this time, Rae’s Got Cakes is operated out of a ghost kitchen and does not have a storefront. We hope to be able to serve our customers in person soon!

We are located in the San Francisco Bay Area of California.

Are cakes from the internet safe to consume?

We cannot speak for all those who sell and ship their cakes online but here at Rae’s Got Cakes we take public health and safety seriously. Our staff is ServSafe certified and all safety precautions are followed in preparing, storing, and shipping our orders.

I saw on social media that you bake at home in your pink kitchen, is that safe?

I do bake at home in my pink kitchen because it is where it all started! The pink kitchen is where all of my recipes were developed and tried and it will always be a sentimental part of the growth of this business. While I still bake in the kitchen for friends & family as well as for recipe development, all customer orders are made and packed at our ghost commercial kitchen facility. Cakes you see in the pink kitchen are for content, friends, and family only.
